Superuser permission - pelouk - 11-21-2017 I'm trying to uninstall and reinstall Firefox in LL 2.8 using Synaptic Package Manager (SPM). I keep getting an error notice when trying to launch the SPM telling me that I need to make a report and run this terminal command.:- E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report. When trying to run that, I'm told I need Superuser permission. Help!! Re: Superuser permission - firenice03 - 11-21-2017 [member=421]pelouk[/member] Run the command with sudo.. You'll be prompted for your password... Code: sudo dpkg --configure -a Re: Superuser permission - pelouk - 11-21-2017 That did the job! Many thanks. Re: Superuser permission - firenice03 - 11-21-2017 No worries - good to hear your all sorted |
