Please don't get me wrong. I love LL as much others do. But isn't the feather logo with that yellowish background, little awkward. I thing there is a good scope to improve it. That section needs artwork refinement.
I know that yellow bg can be changed easily, but still it will be cool if LL by default provides a cool new boot screen. A new boot screen which will be simple and lite just as LL .

Jerry has already proposed one. Look in the Desktop Customization section of the forum. I'm also working on a new one myself.
