Login with Pin like Windows? - JohnDoeIII504 - 11-10-2017 Is it possible to set up a pin to login, like you can do on Windows 10. Would be much easier than having to type my password every time I lock it and when I go to logon every time. Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Re: Login with Pin like Windows? - Valtam - 11-10-2017 Nothing like this exists in Linux as far as I know. There was some development via GDM, but development did not progress, and we don't use GDM, we use LightDM. Ref. https://wiki.gnome.org/Design/OS/ScreenLock/PinAuthentication Can be done, if you want to pay for it: https://shop.nitrokey.com/shop https://www.nitrokey.com/documentation/installation#p:nitrokey-start&os:linux Re: Login with Pin like Windows? - JohnDoeIII504 - 11-10-2017 Thanks for the info. Good to know. And no, I'd rather not have to pay for it, lol Re: Login with Pin like Windows? - trinidad - 11-11-2017 This is as far as I have ever gotten, but I'm networking RDP Windows and other things. https://blog.josefsson.org/2017/06/19/openpgp-smartcard-under-gnome-on-debian-9-0-stretch/ TC |
