How to open old windows (Vista) VHD files in linux - newtusmaximus - 07-18-2017 On external backup storage I have some Windows Vista backup files (vhd format). I would like to look inside these and extract anything useful ( work files etc) before deleting the vhds ( circa 400GB worth!!) and regaining some welcome storage space. The VHDs are gathering cobwebs and are no longer needed once I have taken anything of use out. I do not have (or wish to) a Windows OS machine. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks Re: How to open old windows (Vista) VHD files in linux - bitsnpcs - 07-18-2017 Hello, is the info on this link of use to solve it - https://askubuntu.com/questions/295155/how-do-i-mount-vhd-file |
