How does one changes to the next wallpaper in XFCE - Roy - 07-14-2017 Hi everyone What is the command that's responsible for switching to the next wallpaper (when more then 1 selected in desktop settings) on XFCE? And how can I add it to the menu on the desktop as an item? Thanks! Re: How does one changes to the next wallpaper in XFCE - gold_finger - 07-15-2017 Don't know a terminal command for that, but easiest thing to do is right-click on the desktop, choose "Desktop Settings", then near bottom of window on "Background" tab check the box for "Change the background" and change timing for that as you wish. It will then cycle through pics in folder. Re: How does one changes to the next wallpaper in XFCE - Roy - 07-15-2017 Yes I meant for the next picture in that sequence.. I'll be awesome to have a shortcut on desktop or on a menu for that Re: How does one changes to the next wallpaper in XFCE - Scott(0) - 07-15-2017 Hi Roy, Here's how create a shortcut on the desktop to forward to the next wallpaper. You can click on the screenshots to make them a little bigger. Step 1 Navigate to Start > All > Desktop > Background Tab > Put a check in the box "Change the background" at the bottom of the window. Step 2 Create a Desktop Shortcut Right-Click on Desktop > Choose "Create Launcher" from Menu and enter in text from picture below. The name field can be whatever you like. Click on "No Icon" button to choose an icon and go to Step 3. Step 3 Choose any icon you want, here's the one I selected. After that click the "OK" button and then click "Create" button in the Create Launcher Window. Step 4 The shortcut will now be on your desktop. Click it, the first time you run it you will get a permissions window (see below), Choose "Mark Executable," it will only ask once.
