flashing bios with dell M4500 laptop running LL3.4 - BarryVG - 07-13-2017
Recently purchased Dell M4500 i7 system will not recognize 1tb drive, but will on lower capacity drives. Know it is a bios update. According to Intel, there have been known issues of system takeover due to hacking, so new bios updates have been produced, this system has one as of June 2, 2017. It is an exe type file, but this system has UEFI as well as BIOS. LL 34 running on standard BIOS, will not boot in UEFI. Anyone done a BIOS update recently? My experience was years ago using floppy disk. :-[

You would be better off asking this on the Dell forums, or via their Support section since it's specific to their product.
