Windows keyboard - then00b - 07-10-2017 Hello! My friend gave me a keyboard (HIGH-SPEED SERIAL BUS USB 2.0 that has a backlight). But, unfortunately the backlight can be only activated with Windows OS. The only thing that lights up (on this OS) is the Caps and Num Lock. Now, I am just wondering, is there a way to make this work on this OS? Re: Windows keyboard - then00b - 07-10-2017 Nevermind! I solved it by typing "xset led on" on terminal. Re: Windows keyboard - Jocklad - 07-10-2017 Had exactly the same problem with a Rii gaming backlit keyboard. That fixed it. Many thanks then00b Re: Windows keyboard - then00b - 07-10-2017 (07-10-2017, 10:22 AM)Jocklad link Wrote: Had exactly the same problem with a Rii gaming backlit keyboard. You're welcome! Re: Windows keyboard - Jocklad - 07-10-2017 I just tried this on Archlinux with the same keyboard...........It worked Re: Windows keyboard - Jocklad - 01-19-2018 Was messing about with this to get the keyboard to backlight on boot on LL 3.6. Open Session and Startup from Menu and go to Application Autostart. Click add which opens a new box and at the top type keyboard. For the bottom box which is the Command box type xset led 3 and close. Reboot and keyboard backlights on boot. It works.... |
