Latest kernel in LL Final? - BarryVG - 07-05-2017 Having noted the final edition of Linux Lite 3.4 has been announced, I also saw a reference in Softpedia.com on July 3rd, that Lite can have the latest kernel installed. My question, is the latest kernel 4.12 a part of this final edition? Re: Latest kernel in LL Final? - bitsnpcs - 07-05-2017 Hello BarryVG, no kernel 4.12 is not part of Linux Lite 3.4 release. However kernel 4.12 can be upgraded to on Linux Lite 3.4, [member=2]Jerry[/member] made a post about it recently, I will look for his post with the method of how to do this and add the link in a few minutes. Since I'm thinking about replacing my hard drive, I was hoping that that upgrade would be a step I could bypass during the reinstall. Guess not. It will probably be in the 3.6 version. Thanks for your help and quick response. Re: Latest kernel in LL Final? - bitsnpcs - 07-05-2017 Hello BarryVG, I am unsure which version it will be in, have not noticed any announcements about this yet.
