Uninstalling and reinstalling Chromium - bonnevie - 05-10-2017

In 3.4, I had to uninstall & reinstall Chromium using Lite Software and everything went fine. I was a little surprised to open my "new" reinstalled Chromium and all my bookmarks, history, cookies and saved passwords were there.  I was expecting a clean reinstall and I wonder how I could achieve this using Lite Software?  What I did was Uninstall => Update => Install.

If you use Chrome's/Chromium's user accounts - logging with a Chrome user will repopulate data.. Chrome and Chromium share data as they are essentially the same..

Most likely you have the user preference folder stored which was not deleted upon uninstall..
Chromium: ~/.config/chromium/Default
*Note this is a hidden folder which can be viewed by Clicking View - Show hidden Files

Deleting this folder will remove all user data...

Make sense. Thanks for your quick answer, Firenice03!  I will mark this as solved.
