Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - keypey - 06-04-2014 I am 1.0.6/1.0.8 user (virtualbox machine - my preferred main system, but i have to use microsoft as main). After installation 2.0, I want to configure (as 1.0.8), but I have no "submenus" for "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings". Any idea why? On my fresh and updated Linux Lite 2.0, when I click on Menu System, about halfway down the System menu is Login Settings, and one line below that is Network Share Settings. If I drag the mouse pointer over either of these options, the submenus for them open up. I click on each, and they work fine. If it doesn't do that for you, I can't imagine what is wrong. Perhaps a little further explanation from you might help. ~Richard Re: Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - keypey - 06-04-2014 "Submenus" are "dimmed" - thera are not submenus (see attached file) Re: Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - rmockler - 06-04-2014 One question: Is the menu in your attachment from 2.0? It doesn't look like my menu from 2.0. It looks more like a menu from 1.06/1.08. ~Richard Re: Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - keypey - 06-04-2014 keypey@Lite2-0:~$ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. That clearly indicates 2.0. Now to figure out why the menu isn't functioning properly. I was hoping that by now maybe someone else had faced the same problem, and could jump into this discussion and perhaps have a contribution to make. ~Richard Re: Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - Valtam - 06-05-2014 I saw the attachment, you need to click on the triangle next to each of those Menus, that will expand them. I can't think of any reason why this would not work. Re: Fresh 2.0 install: No "Network Share Settings" and "Login Settings" - keypey - 06-05-2014 I use a computer 30 years ... I am using Linux 10 years ... I am an expert on information security ... you are right ...click on the arrow ... Thx! ~kp |
