Easily accessible user-friendly reference guides, published in hard-copy form (paperback)
on Amazon Books.

Major Linux distributions should do this - Ubuntu & Linux Mint have already led the way.
It's now the turn of Linux Lite and others to follow them ...

It's also another way of getting Linux out there to the public at large and may, in turn, provide a source of income for that distribution's continuing development ...

Simple plug-and-play capability (as in Windows OS).

For example, playing videos through the family's Samsung TV from our Linux Lite laptop is possible, but it's a real faff with Settings and you need to know what you are doing to achieve this.
In general, with Windows OS, external devices are immediately recognised and settings automatically adjusted, at least my experience so far...

Yes, although I find Linux much faster than many Windows OSs I still think It is a bit behind with some parts of the User Interface (e.g setting up monitors), and a few other small things, (not really noticed by many users). But I personally think Linux is fine for the moment!  8)

Not Linux itself per se but better compatibility of Libre Office with M$OFFICE files. They are already compatible to a good degree. However, as someone who works with documents (as a freelance translator and editor) and who has to work with M$OFFICE files sent to me by the customer, I am missing compatibility in two key areas:

1. Track changes and (sometimes) comments do not transfer well between M$WORD and Libre Office Writer. This is VERY crucial for my editing work.
2. Libre Office Impress sometimes does not save POWERPOINT presentations well and sometimes the file becomes corrupt, especially in complex presentations.

Fix these and I'm getting rid of Windows 7 even on my main work/gaming computer and installing Linux Lite (currently using Linux Lite on three laptops).

Yes, like you Golan, I have found good compatibility between MSOffice & LibeOffice but experienced issues in two areas:
1. MSWord documents, with tables of data, don't always present well when viewed in LibreOffice Writer, e.g. tables don't appear in the right position on the page, being shifted to the left or right
2. 'Calibri' font (available in MSOffice) is not shown in LibreOffice

So far, I haven't experienced any other compatibility issues with these office packages.

Tutorial to install MS Clear type fonts (Calibri etc), scroll down to Clear type heading.

I tested as I forgot about.... Didn't work on 3.2

Looking at repo packages - I can see it called out in Beryl but not Citrine...??...??
