New Wi-fi network: how do I avoid having to type router security key each time - m654321 - 05-04-2016 I have set-up a new Wi-fi network on the router I normally use. LL now asks me for the router's security key each time I want to go on the internet. How do I avoid this, i.e. having to type in the key each time and instead embed the security key in LL for auto-logon to the internet? This problem has not occurred before, as this is the first time I've created a new network after LL has already been installed. Many thanks for any help with this Mike Re: New Wi-fi network: how do I avoid having to type router security key each time - firenice03 - 05-04-2016 Is the WiFi (network manager) prompting or chrome prompting for keyring? Thinking you're meaning the keyring... Look at https://www.freecinema2022.gq/forums/other/%28solved%29-chrome-asks-for-keyring-when-starting/msg3450/#msg3450 Or https://www.freecinema2022.gq/forums/start-up-and-shutdown/asking-for-wifi-login-and-keyring/msg19973/#msg19973 Re: New Wi-fi network: how do I avoid having to type router security key each time - m654321 - 05-04-2016 Sorry Firenice03, I didn't explain that very well... ...each time I want to go on the internet I am prompted by the WiFi network manager as follows: "Authentification required by Wi-Fi network" I wasn't referring to unlocking the "login keyring" as I don't use one - that seems like more trouble than it's worth. How do I automate this process so it logs on to the WiFi network automatically? Thanks firenice03 Re: New Wi-fi network: how do I avoid having to type router security key each time - Valtam - 05-04-2016 Delete all saved network connections, reboot and try again.
