LibreOffice Menu Removal - officer1996 - 02-28-2016

Did a purge of LibreOffice but still has menu entries.  Since I'm a newbie to Linux I need somebody to walk me through the process of using Terminal commands to purge the entries from my menu.

thanks

Have a look at the following topic.

yes, I saw that entry but my question is how do I get to that particular area to delete the file.  In my Gnome days it would have been gedit /etc/skel/.local/share/applications/ via the terminal but that doesn't work in xfce

figured it out.  it involved a really twitchy delete process, but finally got it to work

For reference here is a "non-twitchy" method, highlight the item, and select delete.

Re: LibreOffice Menu Removal - avj - 02-29-2016

The easiest way I know to do this is to navigate to the folder in Thunar and open the last folder as administrator by right clicking the folder and selecting "Open as Administrator" this will open a new window and from there you can delete the .desktop files that were left over from libre office.
