Extremely slow file operations? - mandoran - 02-09-2016 I'm not sure I've given this the best name, but the problem has dogged me through LL 2.4 and I am hoping that it will not on my next upgrades. Meanwhile I am curious to know if this is a known issue with a solution. What I mean by file operations is whenever software goes to a file explorer (say Thunar) in order to save, rename, open, find or otherwise handle a file. For me this takes ages, across software programs. Libre Office, browsers, whatever, if I have to summon a view to execute a file operation the file display does not open for 5-10 seconds. I was shocked by how long it actually takes, I've gotten used to it and never checked just how long the delay is. What could be causing this? |
