Boot problem - UltraCookie - 01-28-2016 Hi, I'm stuck on the boot screen. The progress bar fills completely (never did before, maybe on fourth) and than it just hangs there. Maybe this has something to do with LL acting up in the last days. Sometimes it wont go to hibernate when I close the lit. When I want to shut it down it reboots and yesterday I got an error when waking up from hibernate that the RAM is full and there are no killable processes. For now the only way to shut it down is to press the power button. Re: Boot problem - Valtam - 01-29-2016 Press F4 during boot, this will display the text and show you where it's stopping. Re: Boot problem - UltraCookie - 01-29-2016 Ok, it said something about the / drive not being ready to be mounted and I should press F to fix it. I did and it said that there was some problem with /tmp and I can either wait or press S to skip. It only took about 2 seconds so I couldn't read the error message properly. The laptop rebooted and now it works again. Edit: It seams this also fixed a problem I had with updating over the control center. Previously it could not fetch updates and I had to do manually with the terminal. Now it works again. Re: Boot problem - Valtam - 01-29-2016 Please mark as Solved.
