Trying to Change default file Manager to Nautilus - leegold - 04-18-2014 Hi, LL 1.06. I installed Nautilus file manager. I then go into settings>preferred applications>Utilities and change from Thunar to Nautilus. But it seems like Thunar is still used by default. I'll open up a mounted USB drive and it's thunar, everything seems to user thunar still. Tried rebooting but still's the same. Wondered if anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. Re: Trying to Change default file Manager to Nautilus - N4RPS - 04-21-2014 Hello! Since LL is based on XFCE, unless you uninstall Thunar, Thunar will always assert itself. I don't know what effect using Nautilus may HAVE on LL as opposed to Thunar; Valtam would probably be the expert on THAT. However, on SOME of my installs, since I prefer PCManFM, I HAVE replaced Thunar with PCManFM, with - so far - no ill effects... 73 DE N4RPS Rob Re: Trying to Change default file Manager to Nautilus - leegold - 04-21-2014 No problem, I only use Nautilus for a few certain things. Thanks. |
