Are donations to Linux Lite from the US tax deductible? - torreydale - 11-18-2015 Are donations to Linux Lite from the US tax deductible? I don't know, but this link from the Debian Site says contributions to SPI (Software in the Public Interest) are.  And this link from the Linux Foundation says contributions to them are not. If, like SPI, Linux Lite needs to register as a non-profit organization in the US for donations to be tax deductible, then the paperwork might be worthwhile.
