Suggestion: Black theme on forum - Printable Version

Suggestion: Black theme on forum - Shady - 03-26-2015

I was looking at the themes for this forum and I notice there wasn't an all black theme. I think it would be a nice feature to add to the forum, to add an option for an all black theme with grey text font (or something similar.)

I prefer an all black theme on all the sites I go to, it's easier on the eyes and in my opinion it looks more slick and nicer looking.

I think it would be a nice feature, if it's possible and it isn't to much trouble.

Black seems to be very hard on the eyes. Unless its yellow text on a black background.
I know Theemahn at ultimate edition forums does a dark/black theme, not my thing.
To each their own........and @ some point too many options cause issues on the back end.
It's a beautiful forum theme in my opinion, but everyone has preferences.

Okay -- I feel like a numskull.  ???  Had no idea there was even such a thing as themes for the forum.  Where are you seeing that option?  (It's probably something simple, but it's not unlike me to look straight passed things that are right in front of my face.  :o )

It's ok, so go all the way at the top of the site and highlight Profile, then click and go to Look and Layout

then you will see Current Theme: Forum or Board Default (change)

click on change, there are only 3 themes

No problem guys but yeah i think adding an all black theme to the forum would be cool, if possible

Have a search here for a dark theme - http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?action=search and suggest maybe 3 or 4 with accompanying links and we'll see what we can do Smile Search parameters: 'dark' select version '2.0.9' only.
