Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - ukbrian - 02-10-2015 Posting pics on the forum is simple but please do not post large images as they seriously inconvenience other users by slowing the page load times. Please would a mod be kind enough to modify this sentence to conform with Lite guide lines. First thing to do is register on imgur at http://imgur.com You then waste some of your life watching videos With out music https://www.dropbox.com/s/kcekpi2ewfsnerp/imgur-guide.mkv?dl=0 Size 27 MB and 9 minutes long With music https://www.dropbox.com/s/qt3sbqtmsmv6c9s/imgur-guide-music.mkv?dl=0 Size 24 MB length 9 minutes Is the back ground hum preferable to the music? If you use ".gif" pics watch out for an added ".gifv" at the end of the url address which you must remove so it's ".gif". Re: Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - N4RPS - 02-10-2015 Hello! I MUST admit, all those little GIFs you throw in DEFINITELY liven things up around here! 73 DE N4RPS Rob Re: Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - ukbrian - 02-10-2015 (02-10-2015, 11:18 AM)N4RPS link Wrote: Hello! But would/will it get out of hand if everyone does it and be extra work for the poor mods? Re: Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - N4RPS - 02-10-2015 Hello! Most definitely - ESPECIALLY if the image-posting guidelines aren't followed. However, it takes some work to 'jazz things up'. Most won't go to the trouble of it all, myself included... 73 DE N4RPS Rob Re: Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - altman - 02-10-2015 (02-10-2015, 11:34 AM)ukbrian link Wrote: [quote author=N4RPS link=topic=1604.msg11497#msg11497 date=1423567093]But would/will it get out of hand if everyone does it and be extra work for the poor mods? Re: Using imgur.com to post pics on the forum - ukbrian - 02-10-2015 Kids don't RTFM they use utube, if your developing stuff RTFM it essential. I managed to tweak saline-backup to add a line to fstab and also to create the folder fstab uses as I exclude it from my backups, clones so that when I reboot into them my data partition is loaded and my sym links all work. Code: LABEL=data /home/user/data ntfs-3g defaults,uid=1000 0 0 Off to make an install video to see what size it turns out, if it's small enough it might go on the DVD, I'm thinking of a custom default FX profile.
