G'day from Adelaide, South Australia - pauloz - 01-25-2015

I've recently downloaded Lite on to my little Asus Eee PC and I have to say I've been blown away with its user-friendly features, clearly the best of the lightweight distros. I've tried countless distros but Lite is by far the snappiest. Will alert my friends/relatives to it - most of us are sick of Windows. Well done and all the best for a bright future!

Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite.

I have an old Asus EEE PC with a broken screen stashed away around here somewhere. It's small and runs directly off 12 VDC, so it'd be great in a car.

From my understanding, replacement screens run in the $50 range for them, so I guess I'll order one, and get it going again...

Howdy and Welcome.

@N4RPS , I'd buy myself a  not working eeepc and use the parts from one to the other to make one good one. It might be cheaper.

I tinker a lot. My latest project.

Hello, rokytnji!

Thanks for the suggestion. When one doesn't work, it's usually because of a broken screen, but I'll keep an open mind.

I just might see what a used one in good shape runs for, and do that, instead...
