Dana meant Chrome , on LL it s Chrome , not Chromium right ! Both choices are available from Install Additional Software. Re: Video and audio not syncing... - altman - 01-27-2015 Ah , thanx for clarifications , never really check it out , I usually use either ff or iceweasel . Re: Video and audio not syncing... - Dana Marsee - 01-27-2015 I think I can put an end to this discussion. I have gone back to Chrome and discovered that I had the newstream screen zoomed to 175 and I have sync problems there...when I decreased my zoom to 33 the sync problems disappeared. I am back on Chrome now...feeling embarrassed. Maybe I am masking another problem by zooming down to 33, but I'm happy. Re: Video and audio not syncing... - Dana Marsee - 01-27-2015 Disregard my last post..I still have a problem with sync on Chrome. Re: Video and audio not syncing... - altman - 01-27-2015 Look like an intermittent &/or persistant issue on your side . That sux . I guess I would put on what podcasts that you want to listen too , maybe someone might give you a hand . Re: Video and audio not syncing... - Dana Marsee - 01-27-2015 Still doing good with Chromium...just have to stay away from Chrome and Firefox. Re: Video and audio not syncing... - altman - 01-27-2015 Ah ok , cool , hope it will be ok now mate ! Re: Video and audio not syncing... - anon222 - 01-27-2015 It could be a Pulse Audio issue. You can replace it with ALSA. Probably get some performance boost. But then you will not be able to call anyone with Skype. Skype needs Pulse Audio to make calls. How To: Completely remove PulseAudio & replace it with ALSA I don't use Chrome very often. I use Firefox mostly. I have nVidia geforce gt 430 card and propriatary drivers enabled. I get a little performance boost when I disable GPU validation and enable Hardware acceleration. I've created 'mms.cfg' file in /home/user/.adobe/ If you want to try this: Code: echo OverrideGPUValidation=1 >> ~/.adobe/mms.cfg Code: echo EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1 >> ~/.abobe/mms.cfg Code: leafpad ~/.adobe/mms.cfg EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1 for example you can set the file content it like this: OverrideGPUValidation=1 EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=0 Or like this OverrideGPUValidation=0 EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode=1 Find the one that is best for you. Once you make the changes save them, restart the browser and give it a try. |
