Re: Include Pinta - Skorpp - 09-30-2014 I personally prefer GIMP, and if you don't like multiple windows : it can be switched to single window mode Photography is one of my hobbies so GIMP is something I use regularely, but hey : that's my opinion of course Re: Include Pinta - rokytnji - 09-30-2014 Keep Gimp. Make a how to for Pinta. This forum lacks some How Tos'. Re: Include Pinta - rokytnji - 09-30-2014 Just woke up Valtam. I left of graphics in that sentence. My bad. Re: Include Pinta - AL13N - 09-30-2014 GIMP is another reason why I'm glad I made the move to GNU/Linux and Linux Lite. Prior to this I'd only ever used MS Paint. Nothing else. At first it felt overwhelming but I decided to stick with it. After learning just a few basics it actually made things easier, saving time and effort, whilst increasing my output ability. Therefore, my vote is to keep GIMP as the default. Maybe Pinta could be added to the "Install Additional Software" list as an "open-source, cross-platfrom alternative to Paint.NET"? Re: Include Pinta - eightbit - 09-30-2014 I'll have to revisit Gimp again. It appears so far I am alone with Pinta But, I am also not a heavy graphic editing user, so I understand why people would want Gimp more. I will say that its implementation in LL is a lot nicer than I have seen elsewhere. Thanks guys for the input! |
