Re: Linux Lite 6.0 RC1 Released - torreydale - 04-26-2022 [member=2]Jerry[/member] , This was quick. I didn't expect a Linux Lite release candidate so soon after the release of Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. I'm looking forward to getting off LL 4.8 for this Thinkpad. I'm also hoping whatever was in Ubuntu 18.04 or Xfce during that time that wouldn't work with my Dell docking station will work now. I had to go a different route from Linux Lite for Dell Latitude. Ready to bring it back. I have to choose CSM boot instead of UEFI. I wish it worked in UEFI mode. • Sent from my Android phone using Tapatalk • Re: Linux Lite 6.0 RC1 Released - OzarkJoe - 04-26-2022 Not a big deal because the 6.0 install seems to be working fine, but I get this graphics "hiccup" just before the desktop loads. I didn't have this issue with 5.8. I assume this is due to a graphics driver issue from x.org. If anyone here has a suggestion on a fix I appreciate your input. I have a tablet that I have only messed with in the slight and sometimes the 32bit grub (if I recall) might need installed... Just a friendly reminder... Thanks. I didn't consider it a bug. Probably a hardware issue. But to get the browser I want I'd rather use a PPA than a snap, for sure. Re: Linux Lite 6.0 RC1 Released - Ozpos - 05-03-2022 Hi All, Thank you for this distro I like it very much. My hardware is an Ideapad Gaming 3 laptop https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=ab553d3a2f and I am trying to get the keyboard back light to work. In the process I have a problem when rebooting. The pulseaudio process hangs when shutting down. If I wait a long enough it gets blacklisted but I still have to hold down the power button to force a power down. Is there any thing I can do to fix this ? Best regards oz. ll6.0 RC1 pulseaudio - hangs on restart Re: Linux Lite 6.0 RC1 Released - firenice03 - 05-03-2022 [member=49817]Ozpos[/member] Merged Topics; included your question/issue/findings here in this thread. As this version of LL(6.0) is a Release Candidate (RC) this may not be corrected until the Final release. Please know as an RC there is not an upgrade path to the Final version. |
